GBMC Celebrates Cancer Survivorship With Photographs
Cancer survivors are invited to share their pictures and become part of The Virtual Wall of Overcomers at GBMC.

For 28 years, Greater Baltimore Medical Center’s (GBMC) annual Cancer Survivorship Celebration has brought together more than 200 cancer survivors with their caregivers, friends and family members who supported them through every step of recovery. In the face of COVID-19, an alternative option is being offered to maintain the spirit of this important event while ensuring the health and safety of our community.
As a substitute to the annual in-person cancer survivor celebration, Oncology Support Services at the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC, is inviting survivors to share their picture and become part of The Virtual Wall of Overcomers.
“Although we are disappointed that we are not able to have the opportunity to join together, renew acquaintances, and celebrate both survivors and their caregivers, we are grateful to have a virtual option and a special way to celebrate,” said Paul Celano, MD, FACP, FASCO, Herman and Walter Samuelson Medical Director of the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC.

Approximately, 2,000 individuals annually turn to the experts at The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute at GBMC when faced with potentially life-changing medical diagnoses. Nationally and locally recognized, the Berman Cancer Institute is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
