Man Charged In Towson Assault, False Imprisonment Case: Police
Police said a man assaulted his ex-wife in Towson then drove her to the hospital, where he was arrested.

TOWSON, MD — A man was arrested on the grounds at Greater Baltimore Medical Center Thursday following a domestic disturbance, according to police.
Police said Kraun Lamont Carter, 28, assaulted his ex-wife in her apartment in the 700 block of York Road, refused to let her leave then drove her along with her teenage son to the hospital. The teenage son was neither hurt nor was he involved in the assault, according to police.
Carter was stopped by law enforcement on the GBMC grounds in the 6700 block of Charles Street, where they said he was arrested and a rifle was found in the car.

Carter, of the 4200 block of Glenarm Avenue in east Baltimore, was charged with first- and second-degree assault; possessing a rifle with a felony conviction; illegal possession of ammunition; first-degree burglary; theft from $1,500 to $25,000; and false imprisonment, court records show.
Court records show Carter is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail following a bail review hearing Friday. He has a preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court slated for March 26.
