One Firefighter Injured in Phoenix Blaze, Officials Say

Fire broke out at a single-family home Wednesday afternoon, Baltimore County officials reported.

One firefighter was injured in a residential blaze in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon, according to the Baltimore County Police and Fire Department.

At 2:56 p.m. on Wednesday, crews were called to the unit block of Carroll Run Court, public safety officials reported.

Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company reported that its personnel—first on the scene—saw fire showing from the exterior and found heavy fire throughout the interior of the home.

The two-alarm blaze occurred at a single-family residence where all people inside had been accounted for, according to the report from Baltimore County public safety officials.

One firefighter had sustained a minor injury, officials reported before 3:45 p.m.

Responding crews included Joppa-Magnolia, Lutherville and Towson,;and the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that it was coming from Harford County after 4 p.m. to provide assistance.

Crews from Jacksonville reportedly remained at the scene for four hours.
