Arrest Made After Large Towson Town Center Gathering: Report (patch.com) — Residents may notice increased police presence near Towson Town Center after officers responded to a large gathering Wednesday night that led to one arrest, according to Baltimore County police. Authorities have not yet said what sparked the crowd or the arrest, but the incident drew attention to activity around the busy Towson shopping area.

Afro-fusion restaurant returns to University Union as a dining option for its second semester (thetowerlight.com) — Students at Towson University can once again grab Afro-fusion dishes from Posi's Kitchen, now back in the University Union's Community Kitchen on weekdays. The family-owned spot, known for its popular chicken suya bowls and jollof, is praised by students for bringing Nigerian flavors to campus and "diversifying Towson," even as some wish the portions were larger.

Man convicted of sex crime involving minor wanted in Baltimore City and County (foxbaltimore.com) — Authorities are searching for convicted sex offender Michael Rucker, who is wanted for failing to register and has open warrants in both Baltimore City and County, including misdemeanor theft charges in the Towson area. Federal agents say he may be transient around downtown Baltimore and urge anyone with information to contact the U.S. Marshals Service, stressing public safety concerns.
   

5. UMaine's punter survived cancer. Now he'll keep kicking until he gets a bone marrow transplant. (bangordailynews.com) — UMaine punter Anthony Pecorella, who survived Burkitt's lymphoma and faces a post-season bone marrow transplant, is set to play in the Black Bears' season opener at Towson University.
