1. For Towson residents, the outcome may influence where large power-hungry centers can be built, how they use local water and electricity, and what community notification and labor standards developers must follow.

2. Loyola Blakefield tackles the all-school Mass problem, dedicating a new altar (americamagazine.org) — Loyola Blakefield in Towson has tackled the challenge of holding reverent all‑school Masses in its gym by commissioning a handcrafted portable altar, recently blessed by Archbishop William Lori. Built by Jesuit priest Richard Zanoni and housing a relic of St. Ignatius, the new altar helped transform a typical gym Mass into a more sacred experience for over 1,000 students, who also received a surprise extra day off.

3. Maryland Gas Station Sells Winning $540,000 Lottery Ticket (mocoshow.com) — Someone who bought a Multi-Match ticket at the Towson Shell on York Road just hit a $540,000 jackpot, with the winner able to choose annual payments or a lump-sum cash option. Towson residents are urged to check tickets from the September 17 drawing, as thousands of others across Maryland also won smaller prizes and the winner has 182 days to claim the money.

4. No. 4 Wake Forest Takes Road Win Against Delaware - Wake Forest University Athletics (godeacs.com) — A nationally ranked Wake Forest field hockey team rolled into Towson University and beat Delaware 5–1 on Friday night, giving local fans a high-level college matchup in their backyard.
