Plans For Towson Whole Foods Revealed
Developers of the new Towson Whole Foods have announced the tentative time frame for construction and opening.

TOWSON, MD — Residents of Towson will not have to wait too much longer for Whole Foods. Developers of the high-end supermarket laid out the projected time table for construction and opening.
Whole Foods will be located on the corner of York Road and Towsontown Boulevard and offer two levels of parking with covered walkways leading into the store.
Once construction begins at the site in winter 2019, it will take approximately 18 months to complete, meaning it should arrive sometime in 2021.

"We’re excited to move forward with a landmark retailer like Whole Foods to create a first-class mixed-use destination at Towson Row," Greenberg Gibbons Chair/CEO Brian Gibbons said in a statement on Tuesday, April 30. "We know from experience that Whole Foods attracts premier retailers and restaurants, and a strong anchor is essential to creating a welcoming and active urban project that invites the community to come together."
Towson Row will include restaurant and retail space, office space, 300 student housing apartments, 200 luxury high-rise units and a 220-room hotel.
County officials were enthusiastic about the news that construction would get underway later in the year.
The addition of Whole Foods is "an exciting milestone in the revitalization of Towson," County Councilman David Marks, whose district includes Towson, said in a statement.
“Towson Row will bring a new vibrancy to downtown Towson, and the confirmation of Whole Foods as the anchor tenant will benefit not only surrounding businesses, but all of the surrounding communities,” Will Anderson, director of the Baltimore County Department of Economic and Workforce Development, said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing this project come to life.”
