Radebaugh Park Project Moves Forward
Purchasing more than 2 acres in southeast Towson will allow Baltimore County to create a new park for a neighborhood lacking open space.

TOWSON, MD - Baltimore County is planning to move forward with purchasing 2.36 acres of land off Aigburth Avenue to be used for a park, County Executive Kevin Kamenetz announced Wednesday.
The $1.1 million price, confirmed by two independent appraisals, will come from Program Open Space funds.
Baltimore County and land owner Radebaugh Florist entered into a tentative purchase agreement in September, but an environmental assessment was required before the sale proceeded. No issues were found that would prevent the county from completing the purchase, county officials said in a statement.

“We have been working hard to add additional open space for Towson residents, and this purchase will help us achieve that goal," Kamenetz said.
State lawmakers helped secure an additional $175,000 to get rid of greenhouses on the property, which is located across the street from Radebaugh Florist (120 West Burke Avenue).

In the heart of the Aigburth Manor community, the park will provide a pathway for residents walking to Towson High School, state officials said, and provide open space for a neighborhood that lacks public parks.
The county council must sign off on the sale before Baltimore County can accept the title.
