Royal Farms Project Moves Ahead in Towson: Report
The business on York Road at Bosley Avenue will progress with the blessing of the Baltimore County council.

TOWSON, MD — Seven members of the Baltimore County Council reportedly voted unanimously to approve the proposal to build a Royal Farms on Bosley Avenue at York Road despite community opposition.
The property used to be home to a firehouse owned by Baltimore County, which has since relocated.
Residents held up signs that said things like "Don't pass gas" to let their representatives know how they felt about the project, voicing concerns about the implications for traffic and aesthetics.

There will be a dozen gas pumps at the Royal Farms, The Baltimore Sun reported.
To allow the gas station and convenience store to be built, the council had to pass legislation — Bill 87-16 — that allows gas station/convenience store establishments to be built near residential developments.

Councilman David Marks said it was "impossible" to please everyone and that it was among the most challenging decisions he has made in his time on the council, according to Fox 45.
Marks reportedly said that the project will still need to go through the process of community input meetings.
