Runaway Peacock Roams Parkville
Neighbors have reported sightings after the bird got loose from nearby farm in Baltimore County.

A peacock that disappeared from a local farm has been spotted in the yards of nearby Parkville residents—but so far, nobody has been able to return the bird to his mate, according to reports.
Weber’s Cider Mill Farm reported earlier this month that the bird had gone missing, assuring neighbors he was not dangerous to people and their concern was that he might step into traffic.
The peacock escaped after flying through a hole in the barn roof at Weber’s in late July, according to WBAL.

Neighbors shared recent sightings with Weber’s on Facebook—the peacock has made appearances this month in the Cromwell Station development, on Class Court, Forest Valley Drive and Satyr Hill Road.
One resident—whose yard the peacock has taken a liking to—agreed to have a cage put there, ABC 2 News reported Saturday, stating the plan was to get the bird to go inside for meal worms.

Catching him has been “a bit tricky because he can fly,” Weber’s posted on Facebook Aug. 4.
The peacock’s mate has been pacing around the coop in his absence, WBAL reported.
Anyone who sees the peacock may contact Weber’s Cider Mill Farm at 410-668-4488.
