Senior Living Community In Stoneleigh Focuses On Memory Care
Blair House at Stoneleigh recently celebrated its grand opening on Regester Avenue.

TOWSON, MD — A new senior living community in Stoneleigh recently celebrated its grand opening. Blair House at Stoneleigh at 812 Regester Avenue hosted a grand opening in late February.
Operated by Peregrine Senior Living, the program at Blair House is based on using memories that those suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia already have to help make them feel at home. It also offers activities, medical care, dining and other services. The company — based in Syracuse, New York — runs eight campuses in New York state. The Towson facility is its ninth overall.
Blair House at Stoneleigh is located in a newly renovated space.

"In 2012, Tom Lattanzi and Cynthia Jabs from the Idlewylde Community Association gave me a tour of the derelict nursing home at the corner of Regester Avenue and Sherwood Road in Idlewylde," Councilman David Marks, who represents Towson, said after the Feb. 25 grand opening. "It took eight years, but this evening I happily participated in the grand opening of Blair House at Stoneleigh, which will offer memory care services in the renovated building. What a wonderful use for this structure!"
Marks has been cognizant of the growing senior population in Baltimore County. About 16.7 percent of Baltimore County was 65 and older in 2017, and projections call for approximately 25 percent of the population to be 65 and older in 2020.
