Serial Burglary Suspects Identified By Baltimore County Police
The Baltimore County Police Department has identified the three men charged in 20 home burglaries.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Authorities have identified the men charged in a three-month burglary spree targeting large homes in Baltimore County. The suspects hail from three different states and were arrested on Friday night, police said.
The trio was taken into custody after someone called police at 6:30 p.m. on Friday to report a burglary in the 14100 block of North Blenheim Road. Responding officers saw a green Ford Explorer with a North Carolina plate, and when they followed the SUV, the driver — who was the only person in the vehicle — tried to pull into driveways to get away, then drove down one, jumped out and ran, police said.
Demar Anthony Brown, 33, of the 700 block of Hudson Street in Winston Salem, North Carolina, was arrested, police said. He has been charged with 20 counts of first-degree burglary.

Responding officers found another burglary nearby in the unit block of Blenmont Court and after conducting an extensive search, police said they found two additional suspects in a wooded area who were taken into custody.
Kamar Oliver Beckles, 32, of the 1800 block of Palisade Avenue in Teaneck, New Jersey, and Jashon Clarence Fields, 33, of the 1000 block of Lake Regency Drive in Atlanta, Georgia, were also charged with 20 counts of first-degree burglary, police said.

Three of the 20 burglaries with which the men are charged occurred Friday night, police said; a house in the 13000 block of Jerome Jay Drive was burglarized before the call came in about North Blenheim Road, according to officials, who said the third burglary was at Blenmont Court.
After executing search warrants on hotel rooms where the suspects had been staying and on a vehicle, Corporal Shawn Vinson said officers recovered evidence connecting the men to a total of 20 burglaries.
Charges against the three suspects came days after the Baltimore County Police Department announced at a community meeting in Timonium that it had adjusted resources upon determining 18 home burglaries since October were possibly connected.
Larger homes in the Franklin, Pikesville, Towson and Cockeysville precincts were being targeted, usually between 5 and 8 p.m., police said. Suspects forced their way in, ransacked the residences and stole valuables, according to authorities, who believed one to three suspects were involved.
“Our patrol, investigative, and support units did incredible work in identifying and apprehending these individuals responsible for the burglaries," Baltimore County Police Chief Terrence B. Sheridan said in a statement on Sunday.
"We aim to preserve public safety in Baltimore County," he added, "and to assist those who have been victimized."
Major David Folderauer will hold a follow-up community meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, where will provide an update on the cases and answer questions.
