Siren System To Sound At Towson University

An emergency siren test will be conducted Tuesday at Towson University, public safety officials say.

TOWSON, MD — Don't be alarmed if you hear loud beeps this afternoon around Towson University. The outdoor emergency siren system on campus is set for testing on Tuesday, March 27.

People may hear several alert tones and messages stating that this is only a test, according to the Towson University Office of Public Safety.

The external outdoor emergency siren test at Towson University is slated for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27. It will last no more than a few minutes, officials say.

People do not need to take any action due to the test.

If there is a fire alarm pulled, then students and others on campus will need to evacuate; but otherwise, they do not need to do anything, officials say.
