Speed Camera Added At Cromwell Valley Elementary

Police said a new speed camera was added near the elementary school in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — Noticed a new addition to Providence Road? A speed camera was added to Providence at Southwick Drive across from Cromwell Valley Elementary School.

The speed camera was installed Dec. 18 and for the first 30 days, drivers who go at least 12 mph over the limit while passing by it will be warned. After Jan. 19, those who speed will receive citations.

The speed camera will operate Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., including weekdays when school is not in session and on weekends.

In compliance with state law, Baltimore County’s speed cameras operate Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., including during the summer months and on weekdays when school is not in session.
