'Stabbing Motions' Lead To Arrest: Towson Crime

Maintenance room burglarized, person in parked car robbed and more crimes were reportedly recently in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — The following information about recent crimes in the area is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. Reports are from the Towson precinct, and arrests do not indicate convictions.

A home in the 1400 block of Putty Hill Avenue was burglarized through an unsecured window. The victim's car keys and house keys were taken in the burglary, which happened between 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 8 a.m. on Feb. 7.

A maintenance room was burglarized at Virginia Towers in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue. At 9:19 p.m. on Feb. 6, the suspect went in through a side entrance, then got into the maintenance room and took tools. A drill, cable saw, tool bag and three lithium batteries were stolen in the burglary.

A woman was robbed while parked on Radcliffe Road at Bosley Avenue. Three suspects approached her, asked for money and demanded her purse. She handed it over, and the suspects took off. The robbery happened at 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Brown Memorial Woodbrook Presbyterian Church was the site of an attempted break-in. The suspect tried to break the glass window with a brick and pry open the window at the church in the 6200 block of North Charles Street at 2:10 p.m. on Feb. 3.

A suspect with a knife was arrested after making "stabbing motions" toward someone without making contact, police said. The assault happened in the 900 block of Taylor Avenue at 8:44 p.m. on Feb. 1.
