Towson 'Angel' Pays for Stranger's Christmas Shopping

A random act of kindness at the hands of a Towson University student is making the rounds on Facebook.

A Towson University student paid it forward during the holiday rush, and a fellow Target shopper has passed along the story of the random act of kindness.

The student was hailed as an “angel” for literally paying it forward, footing a $131.14 bill for someone in front of her at Target on Tuesday morning. The full story is at the end of this post. It has been shared more than 1,600 times on Facebook as of Tuesday night.

“We are so proud of our student Amanda, who today displayed the type of holiday spirit that makes Towson so special!” Towson University tweeted.

ATTENTION FB FAMILY & FRIENDS........I’d like you to meet Amanda...! This Angel appeared behind me in Target this morning. I was finishing up some last minute Christmas Shopping. The amount came to $131.14. As I went to get out my credit card, she said to me, “Excuse me Ms., I would like to PAY FOR THIS”! I said, “What? That’s so sweet but you don’t have to do that!” She insisted that she wanted to do it! I was crying in the Target! I told her I was currently unemployed and that she was a gift from God! She is a college student and this beautiful girl not only paid for my items, but she was out on a rainy day with horrible traffic paying it forward! Her parents must be so proud of this beautiful young woman! What a true gift from God and an amazing an selfless person. I have often done this for others myself and I guess that she is my Karma!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart, Amanda, and I wish you and all of your family a blessed holiday season.
