Towson Crime: Break-In Through Basement, Construction Site Theft

Three burglaries and one attempted burglary were reported recently in Towson, according to police.

TOWSON, MD — These are the recent crime reports out of the Towson precinct. All information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department.

There was a burglary attempt in the unit block of Huguenot Court at 2 a.m. on Feb. 14. A stranger knocked on the door and asked for someone who did not live there. As the man closed the door and said nobody by that name was there, the suspect tried to push the door open, then took off.

Five extension cords and a drill head were stolen from a construction site in the 1000 block of Southwick Court. The suspect jumped a fence in the back of the property to access the job site tool box between 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 7:24 a.m. on Feb. 13.

A home in the 6500 block of Crestwood Road was broken into and ransacked. Cash was stolen from the home, where the suspect(s) forced the back basement door open to get inside. The burglary occurred between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 9.

Two computers, clothes, a game system and other items were stolen from an apartment in the 6900 block of Donachie Road. The apartment was unlocked at the time of the burglary, which was between 9 and 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 7.
