Towson Hosting Black History Month Assembly

Several celebrated speakers will be featured at the Towson event this week.

TOWSON, MD – The Towson High School Black Student Union is hosting a Black History Month Assembly on Friday, Feb. 23. Several prominent speakers will be featured at the event, which will also incorporate a step performance.

Among the headliners are HBCU Digest founder Jarrett Carter, photographer Darin Allen and Johns Hopkins University Student Government Association President Kwame Alston, the first African-American president of the organization in 15 years.

A step performance and Greek life discussion will be given by the Towson Alphas and AKAs.

The assembly will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at Towson High School.
