Towson Row Breaks Ground: PHOTOS
A hotel, high-rise housing, retail and other buildings will be constructed as part of Towson Row.
TOWSON, MD — Community leaders celebrated the ground-breaking on the $350-million Towson Row construction project this week. Retail space, residences, offices and more will be built in the heart of downtown Towson.
The estimated completion date is summer/fall 2020.
Towson Row will be built along York Road, Towsontown Boulevard, Washington Avenue and Chesapeake Avenue.

"Today, this site brings in $145,000 in tax revenues and when the Towson Row is completed, it will generate $4.7 million in annual tax revenues," County Executive Don Mohler said.
Baltimore County officials say Towson Row will contain 1.2 million square feet consisting of the following:

- 250 luxury high-rise residences
- 300 high-rise student residences
- One hotel
- 100,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space
- 150,000 square feet of class A office space
