Towson Under Flash Flood Watch (EXPIRED)
The watch includes much of Maryland, plus the District of Columbia and parts of Virginia.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Baltimore County, effective from 2 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday.
A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that could lead to flash flooding.

Slow-moving storms will move across the region Tuesday afternoon and evening, capable of heavy rainfall in areas that are already saturated, the weather service reports.
Parts of Baltimore County have been affected already by the recent bout of rain. White Marsh was flooded, and Cromwell Bridge Road was closed in the area of Oakleigh Road due to high water, the weather service reported early Tuesday morning.

One foot of water is enough to sweep a vehicle off the road, according to the weather service, which cautioned flood waters are usually deeper than they seem. If drivers see flooding on roads, they should remember: “Turn around—don’t drown.”
