What An Arm! Lacrosse Players Toss Ball Across Inner Harbor

The pickup game caught the attention of everyone from ESPN to Lacrosse All Stars.

With the professional lacrosse season around the corner, two athletes challenged themselves to an unusual exercise at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Paul Rabil of the New York Lizards launched a lacrosse ball over the Inner Harbor to his pal Drew Westervelt, an attacker for the Colorado Mammoth.

Their game of catch—captured on GoPro—went viral after Rabil, named the 2014 world’s best midfielder by the Federation of International Lacrosse, broadcast the event on his YouTube channel.

The video was picked up by ESPN, USA Today, Bro Bible, VICE, The Baltimore Sun, Lacrosse All Stars and other outlets.

Both Rabil and Westervelt began their lacrosse careers on the outskirts of Baltimore.

Rabil, a Johns Hopkins grad, grew up in Gaithersburg. Westervelt is a UMBC alum and Bel Air native.
