Greene Turtle

Hi!  I have been on vacation sampling some great beers in Delaware such as Dogfish Head- several varieties- fresh from the tap in their brewpub in Rehoboth.
Tonight I was at the Greene Turtle in Westminster for a pleasant experience on the patio.  It was a professional event, but the food that was served was awesome- ribs, crab dip, sliders, etc.  I am not a fan of chains or chain food, but these items were good.
On the beer side, I had Batch 19 for the first time on tap.  It was good.  Cold, relatively light.  Hoppy, but not like an IPA.  Crisp.  It had a unique flavor.  Golden to amber with a slight head.  Nice aroma- malty and floral.  In fact, I, though not others, thought this beer was more malty than hoppy.
At any rate, a decent beer and the venue was great.
For a finisher I tried Just IPA.  It was lighter than most IPA's I have sampled recently, but had a nice floral, hoppy aroma and hit the palate nicely for a summer night.  Nice change from the double IPA's etc. that are everywhere now.
Overall, a good experience at the Greene Turtle.  The manager informed me that they will be shaking up their taps in the near future to include more local brews, etc.  I am looking forward to that!
