I think the Pledge of Allegiance is a great thing for students to learn. It shows pride in being an American. I also believe the words under God belong in it. However, I understand excusing those who may have other beliefs and aren’t from this country. I said the Pledge in school myself, but I see nothing wrong with skipping it as long as it doesn’t cause problems. In fact, I am part Irish and have a right to hold the royal throne on that side of my family, but I am not able to do so. I sometimes like to be given that treatment though. That doesn’t mean I don’t love America. It is all about how a person is raised. No one should be forced to participate. I think it should remain a choice.
