Why Go?: Celebrate the environment and the planet at large with activities that focus on being kind to the planet. There will be demonstrations on seed starting, recycling, rain gardens and more. Plus vegetarian food samples! Come early to start your own seedlings in a free pot.

Why Go? Get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny in front of Downtown Silver Spring’s fountain. Also, rumor has it that the Easter Bunny is hiding eggs on Ellsworth. We are hoping that doesn’t get to them first.

Why Go? Get some free stuff and get to spring cleaning while supporting a good cause - donate gently used items and exchange them for items brought by others. Participation for the exchange is $10 with proceeds being donated to nonprofit organizations devoted to environmental issues.

Why Go? Takoma Park’s annual egg hunt was postponed last week to the 23rd. Don’t miss out on it again at the Middle School’s field.
