19 MA Bed And Breakfasts Named Among Best In America, New Ranking Says

MASSACHUSETTS — A new report Tuesday named 19 Massachusetts bed and breakfasts among the best in the country.

In its 2025 Best Bed & Breakfasts, U.S. News & World report looked at more than 350 bed-and-breakfasts, inns and hotels across 17 cities and small towns. The rankings were based on U.S. News user research showing which accommodations would be of particular interest to travelers.

For Massachusetts, the rankings included bed & breakfasts in two destinations: Boston and Salem.

• The Salem Inn, No. 152
• The Inn at St. Botolph in Boston, No. 155
• The College Club of Boston, No. 164
• Bricco Suites in Boston, No. 210
• The Daniel's House Inn in Salem, No. 265
• Natalie House in Boston, No. 278
• Amelia Payson House in Salem, No. 283
• Stepping Stone Inn in Salem, No. 306
• Northey Street House in Salem, No. 309
• Moroccan Boutique Guest House in Salem, No. 313

“Bed-and-breakfasts offer local immersion, providing travelers with the personal connection they often crave,” Zach Watson, senior travel editor at U.S. News, said in a news release. “The 2025 Best Bed & Breakfasts rankings celebrate local establishments where hosts are unofficial guides, breakfast conversations reveal hidden gems and top properties play a part in each community’s story.”

The cities represented in the rankings also include Asheville, North Carolina; Bar Harbor, Maine; Burlington, Vermont; Cape May, New Jersey; Charlestown, South Carolina; Charlottesville, Virginia; Fredericksburg, Texas; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Key West, Florida; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; New Orleans; Newport, Rhode Island; Portland, Maine; Savannah, Georgia; and St. Augustine, Florida.
