3 MA Health Care Companies Land On Best Employers List

MASSACHUSETTS — Three Massachusetts employers made Fortune's list of the 40 best places to work in health care.

At No. 8 was Devoted Health in Waltham. Next up at No. 9 was Shields Health Solutions in Stoughton. Coming in at No. 15 was Hologic in Marlborough.

All three are large employers with thousands of employees and multiple locations across the country.

No. 1 on the list was Elevance Health in Indianapolis.

To create the list, Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work. Workers responded to surveys about their organization's culture that measured trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company. Overall, 208,000 health care employees participated in the survey.

Fortune wrote about their methodology: "The best companies create great work experiences not just for full-time managers, but also for their part-time employees on the front lines, for those who’ve just joined and those who’ve spent their whole career there, for every race and ethnicity, gender, neurotype, or other demographic in the organization—they look at it all. Companies with the broadest set of employees who report positive workplace experience receive the highest rankings on lists."
