MASSACHUSETTS A Mexican eatery with locations across Massachusetts is turning Cinco de Mayo into a five-day celebration this year.
Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is offering a rotating lineup of drink specials, family perks, and giveaways from Friday, May 1, to Tuesday, May 5, at its three locations in the Bay State.
The chain-wide promotion includes themed daily events, discounted cocktails, complimentary food, and chances to win prizes such as a $2,500 travel voucher and a free dinner for a year.
Fancy Friday: May 1
The festivities kick off with upgraded cocktails and premium drink specials, including PB Espresso Martinis for $9, Cadillac Margaritas made with Don Julio Reposado for $12, and Milionario Margaritas featuring Don Julio 1942 for $19.42.
Guests can also enter to win a $2,500 travel voucher during the kickoff event.
In celebration of the Kentucky Derby, guests wearing festive hats or sombreros can receive a complimentary order of guacamole. Margaritas will also offer a $1 “jumbo upgrade” on margaritas throughout the day.
Families get a break on Sunday, with kids under 12 receiving a free entrée. The first 25 children at each location will also receive a complimentary Margarita t-shirt.
Restaurant and hospitality workers are eligible for 50% off food, house margaritas, well cocktails, and draft beer. The night also includes a raffle for a free dinner for a year.
On Cinco de Mayo itself, the first 50 guests at each location receive a themed t-shirt. Taco purchases also come with a “Get a Taco Coupon” valid for redemption through the end of June.
Over the five days, souvenir cups will also be available, while supplies last, with select drink upgrades.
The promotion runs during regular business hours at participating locations throughout New England and New Jersey. Margaritas operates locations all over the Bay State, including ones in Framingham, Revere and Waltham.
