Another community in the Bay State is kicking off Restaurant Week, giving diners 10 days to try local spots on a budget.
Haverhill Restaurant Week begins on Friday and runs through Aug. 30, with participating restaurants offering everything from discounted menu items to prix fixe dinners.
Here's a look at the range of deals restaurants in Haverhill are offering this month:
La Pizza Di Forno, 109 Merrimack St., is offering one of the week's least expensive meals: two slices of pizza and a soda for $8. The special is available daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Taqueria La Union, 443 River St., has a burrito or quesadilla with chicken, pork carnitas or al pastor, plus a horchata, Jamaica or café de olla for $14.99. The meal also comes with complimentary chips and salsa.
Taco fans can head to Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant, 2 Essex St., where quesabirria tacos are $15.99 during Restaurant Week. The restaurant is also offering a pair of G4 Tequila Margaritas for $14.
Several restaurants are taking a percentage off the bill instead of offering a special menu.
Drop Café, 781 River St., is offering 20 percent off any panini-and-beverage order, while BOSA Coastal Italian, 160 Merrimack St., is taking 15 percent off all dine-in food purchases.
Wicked Axe, 721 South Main St., is offering 10 percent off any food item.
At Dominics, 27 Lafayette Square, diners spending $30 or more on food can knock $5 off the bill. Alcohol is excluded from the offer.
Pizza lovers have another potentially wallet-friendly option at The Lasting Room, 122 Washington St. Diners who purchase any specialty pizza will receive a cheese pizza free, though the offer is limited to dine-in guests.
Those willing to spend a little more can find multi-course specials around the city.
Himalchuli Bar & Grill, 36 Plaistow Road, is offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals for $35, each including an appetizer, main course, dessert and drink.
The Roma, 29 Middlesex St., has a three-course dinner for $35 featuring Caprese salad, chicken and broccoli Alfredo and Coppa Mascarpone for dessert.
Restaurant Week also includes several dinner-for-two specials.
Wang's Table, 46 Washington St., offers a Pu Pu Platter for two for $46, while The Peddler's Daughter, 45 Wingate St., offers dinner for two with a shared appetizer, two entrées, and a shared dessert for $55.
Other participating restaurants include Aroma Joe's Coffee in Bradford, Barrio Haverhill, Joseph's Trattoria Downtown, The Tap Brewing Company, The Hill Downtown Tavern and Solid Slice Pizzeria and Pub.
