Iconic Mass. discount store closing for good
Frugal Fannie's Fashion Warehouse will end operations at its 24 Wilson Way store because of medical hardships, key staff retirements and the coming expiration of its lease, owners Kathleen and Orrin Doxer announced. A going-out-of-business sale began Thursday, but the owners have not announced a final closing date.
Toy retail giant plans new stores
Toys "R" Us plans to open 120 standalone stores across the U.S. this holiday season through a partnership with Go! Retail Group, the company announced on Thursday. It's not yet clear if any new stores will open in the Bay State.
Starbucks to close 250 stores this week: what to know in Mass.
Starbucks plans to close about 250 coffeehouses across North America later this week, a move expected to affect Massachusetts customers as the coffee giant continues to reshape its store footprint.
The company has not yet released a list of the locations slated to close or said how many are in Massachusetts.
Former Mass. home of famous chef hits the market
The former home of Julia Child at 103 Irving St. has been listed for $6.475 million. The 6,321-square-foot home includes six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, and was originally built in 1889.
Several new retailers are coming to this Central Mass. shopping center
Caffè Nero, Topcoat Nail Bar & Spa, Lovesac and First Watch are scheduled to open at The Shops at Blackstone Valley in Millbury in 2027.
Patch previously reported that an expansion was expected to bring about 10 businesses to the open-air shopping center. Shake Shack, Sweetgreen and LaserAway were among the first tenants announced for the project.
