MASSACHUSETTS — If you're looking for ways to save money this week, two national chains are offering deals.

From a free chicken sandwich to a no-strings-attached scoop of ice cream, here’s how to take advantage.

Chicken Sundays At Shake Shack

Fried chicken fans can score a free sandwich every Sunday, though there's a small catch.

Through June 28, Shake Shack is running its “Chicken Sundays” promotion, which gets customers a free Chicken Shack sandwich when they spend at least $10.

To get the deal, customers need to:

• Place an order in-store at a kiosk, through the Shake Shack app, or on the company’s website
• Add a Chicken Shack sandwich (or lettuce wrap version) to their cart
• Use the promo code CHICKENSUNDAY at checkout

The offer is limited to one free sandwich per order and excludes add-ons such as bacon or avocado, as well as certain menu items, including Chicken Bites.

Free Ice Cream At Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry’s annual Free Cone Day returns on April 14, when participating shops across Massachusetts and beyond will hand out free ice cream all day.

The annual event dates back to 1979 and has become one of the chain’s most popular traditions. It often draws long lines of ice cream fans.

Shops typically hand out free scoops between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. Massachusetts locations are expected to participate.
