The Massachusetts Emergency Agency put the number of residents without power at more than 35,000 Tuesday morning.

Winds gusted up to 33 mph on a sunny Tuesday with a high of 37 degrees.

Winds remained strong into the night, gusting as high as 20 mph, but died down Wednesday, as it remained sunny with a high near 36 degrees.

The temperature climbs to 51 Friday but is followed by a chance of snow early Saturday morning.
