Acton Whiz Kids: Amy Jiang

ABRHS senior, Amy Jiang, receives $1,000 scholarship award.

Acton-Boxborough Regional High School senior, Amy Jiang, received a $1,000 Creativity and Citizenship Scholarship from the National Scholastics Art & Writing Awards. Along with the scholarship, Jiang received a Gold Medal for her painting (shown in our image gallery), which will be shown at the World Financial Center Courtyard Gallery in Manhattan in June 2011.

The National Scholastics Art & Writing Awards competition received 185,000 submissions – everything from paintings, sculptures, fashion designs, photography, animation and film, videogame design, poetry, journalism, humor, novel writing and science fiction. The judges are national artists and the submissions were judged on creativity, originality and technical skill.
