AB 4th Grade Star Party

Astronomy Star Party for Acton and Boxborough 4th Graders

The AB 4th Grade Star Party is a science event where Acton and Boxborough 4th graders and their families become astronomers for a night. Sponsors of the Star Party include Acton and Boxborough Public Schools, Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston (ATMoB), and Acton-Boxborough PIP. The Star Party has indoor and outdoor components. Since the outdoor component is weather dependent, participants can check the Star Party Website (www.actonstarparty.com) for a green "Go" or red "No Go" message. At the party, participants are introduced to star gazing by a Sky & Telescope Magazine representative before joining Galileo, who will give the evening a historical spin. Participants are encouraged to join the astronomers outside to view the stars through their powerful telescopes. Other activities include: indoor planetarium, star crafts, and hands-on models. Join us!
