We all know life is meant to be lived but Charlie Cox has spent his life just trying to get by. He’s never been in love and never taken a chance but then startling news from his Doctor causes him to hit the road hoping to find meaning in his life. The personifications of Death and Love become his traveling companions in Acme Theater's production of the romantic comedy fantasy "Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors," by Michael McKeever. With warmth, humor and humanity, Acme shows how sometimes all it takes is a little death to help us learn to really live.
Directed by local director Jim Barton, the show features local talent Jason Myatt (Melrose), Gordon Ellis (Waltham), Nancy Gahagan (Lexington), Jason Rutledge (Watertown) and Gail Bishop Nessman (Maynard). Performances run from September 9 to October 1, 2011 at Acme Theater on 61 Summer Street in Maynard, Mass. (within the ArtSpace community art center). Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8:00 p.m. and the September 25, matinee is at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $17 general admission and $15 for students/seniors.
