Discovery Museums: Pumpkin Fest!

Bring your kids to Discovery Museums for a day of Halloween themed fun and learning!

Children's Discovery Museum:

• 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Face Painting Fun! Get a Halloween-inspired design on your face or hands.
• 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Pumpkin Decorating - Paint, Glitter and Glue, Oh My! Use your tiny fingers and imagination to decorate your own pumpkin using the musuem's collection of paint, glitter, and craft tools.
• 1 to 2 p.m. - Owls: Featherd Familiars - Meet owls from the Blue Hills Trailside Museum and discover what makes these fascinating creatures unique hunters and how they fit into the New England ecosystem.

Science Discovery Musuem:

• 1 to 4 p.m. - Pumpkin Science - Oooey Gooey Fun! Come to the museum's pumpkin exploration station to find answers to the questions: What does the inside of a pumpkin feel like? How many seeds are in a pumpkin? How much does a pumpkin weigh? Does a pumpkin sink or float in water?

Museum day passes are $10.50 for adults and children and $9.50 for seniors.  Yearly memberships are also available.  For more information, contact the museum at 978-264-4200.
