Did you know that several years of research have revealed that the bald eagle population reduction was directly related to the amount of pesticides in their body? The bald eagle population has recovered since the banning of these harmful pesticides. Did you also know that the US government has spent so far tens of billions of dollars for cleaning up Hudson river, Chesapeakle Bay and Great lakes from the contamination by chemicals called PCBs? Learn how we can avoid such catastrophies in the future through Green Chemistry. A group of 3 high school students from Acton Boxborough will explain this through a set of activities on February 25th at St.Matthews United Methodist Church 435, Central Street, Acton between 5:30-7:30pm..
