The two historic properties owned by the non-profit Iron Work Farm in Acton, the Faulkner Homestead and Jones Tavern, will be open from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The buildings house period furnishings and memorabilia from several generations of the Faulkner and Jones families, farmers and mill owners of the 18th through early 20th centuries.
A colonial seamstress will be in residence at the 1732 Jones Tavern, 128 Main Street, and tavern music will be played in the stylish Broad Alley, built in 1818 to make the most of the summer breezes.
The 1707 Faulkner Homestead, 5 High Street, will also be open for tours and walks through the Faulkner Hill woods.
