This Tony-award winning musical opened in 1972 to rave reviews for director and choreographer Bob Fosse, leading player Ben Vereen, and composer Stephen Schwartz. Pippin, the son of King Charlemagne, believes he is destined for an extraordinary life if he can only discover what he is meant to do. His search leads him to become a soldier, a politician, and to seek advice from his grandmother – but nothing makes him happy. His father is too busy being king to help him. Pippin’s search leads him to the grand finale of the show and a choice that only he can make.
