Science Discovery Museum: Concert and Instrument Petting Zoo with the Alcyon Chamber Ensemble

Bring your kids to the Science Discovery Museum for a Concert and Instrument Petting Zoo with the Alcyon Chamber Ensemble, where musicians Shufang Du, violin, and Shannon Snapp, cello, will present a program for children and families designed to introduce members of the string family. Emphasizing the science of tone production and the art of performance, instruments will be examined with regard to similarities and differences. The program will be highly interactive and will include demonstrations and questions and answers, followed by a concert of music by Western music's genius composer, JS Bach.

Museum day passes are $10.50 for adults and children and $9.50 for seniors.  Yearly memberships are also available.  For more information, contact the museum at 978-264-4200.
