Summer Blowout of Jazz, Blues & Tap Dance at the Acton Jazz Café

Summer nights are always the right time to listen to hot jazz & blues!  The Acton Café will host Patrice Monahan and The Shufflin’ Time Band on Friday, June 24th, 2011, 7-830pm.

Patrice Monahan, a genuine soulful artist performs with some of Boston’s finest musicians, fusing jazz, swing, a bit of funk, a touch of the blues and percussive tap dance. Shufflin’ Time’s musical compositions blend a strong rhythm section of piano, bass, drums, and guitar adding the temperature changing sounds of the saxophone.  Sometimes cool……Sometimes hot…….And Always Right On!   Monahan is a singer songwriter performing honest interpretations of standards and her original tunes. Interesting arrangements balanced with improvisation underlie Patrice’s free spirit.
