Father Thanks Acton Police for Saving Daughter

Police rescued a woman in Acton earlier this month.

Editor’s note: The following letter was written by the father of a woman who was rescued in Acton earlier this month. Police found the woman, who they said was suicidal, after an hours-long search. The father requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the incident.

Open letter to Watertown Police, Acton Police, Mass. State Police, Watertown Fire, Acton Fire, and Central Mass. Search and Rescue team:

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your efforts in saving the life of our daughter/sister. Were it not for a swift and monumental effort that included helicopters (and) canines, in addition to the many people we spoke with during this excruciating time we would not have had such a miraculous ending. A special thanks to Detectives Brown and Stackhouse and the folks at Kennedy Landscaping. My daughter is doing well and is recovering at this time.
