Free Fun Fridays

WHAT: The

Highland Street Foundation will kick off its sixth annual “Free Fun Fridays” initiative,

a summer program that opens doors at no cost to visitors to treasured cultural

institutions throughout Massachusetts, with seven venues on Friday, June 27.

For 10 weeks this summer, five or more cultural venues will be open

free-of-charge every Friday. A total of 67 museums and cultural venues will participate in the program, an increase from the 60 venues that participated in

2013.

WHO: “Free

Fun Fridays” is open to patrons of all ages and incomes. Since being

established in 2009, “Free Fun Fridays” has drawn more than half a million

visitors to its participating venues. Last year, the event saw 165,000 visitors. This year, the Foundation hopes to reach more than 200,000 visitors.
