Grab and Go: Harvest Fair, Art, Music, and Helping Soldiers
Here are some local events to attend this weekend.

- Indian Hill Music School Open House, 36 King Street, Littleton
Saturday, September 10, 2011, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Indian Hill invites local families to a free event featuring musical fun. There will be class demos for younger children, an instrument “petting zoo,” and other hands-on activities. Information about classes and upcoming events will be shared. Faculty will be on hand to answer questions.
- Boxborough Harvest Fair, Town Hall, 29 Middle Road, Boxborough
Saturday, September 10, 2011, Opening ceremony at 10:45 a.m., fair from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Come join our Boxborough neighbors for a fun day! The fair, sponsored by dozens of area businesses, will feature local residents’ homegrown produce, handmade goods and crafts. In addition there will be musical performances, blessing of the animals, a pie-eating contest and lots more. Consult the website for the schedule of events.
- Artist’s Reception featuring Lineu Zadereski, Acton Memorial Library

This month, the paintings of Brazilian-born artist Lineu Zadereskia are on display at our local library’s meeting room. These clever works of art combine bright colors, hidden elements and interesting shapes that will keep viewers searching to put the pieces together.
At the reception, Mr. Zadereski will answer questions and explain his goals in designing these unique paintings.
- Concord Museum’s Military Community Day, 200 Lexington Road, Concord
Saturday, September 10, 2011, 2:00-4:00 pm.
This free event is designed to teach all of us about what we can do to help support those who are serving in the military. Soldiers will be on hand to lend their expertise and talk about their experiences. Leaders of community groups that provide care packages and staff local volunteer organizations will be as well. Participants are asked to bring small, non-perishable items to donate to a care package drive. (No glass containers,please.) - 14th annual Musicfest at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, 499 Mountain Road, Princeton
Sunday, September 11, 2011, 12:00-6:00 p.m. (Gates open at 11:30 a.m.)
This award-winning local music festival will feature six local bands, a mountainside BBQ, the traditional beer-fest-of-ale, a classic car show, craft show and SkyRides. The event will take place rain or shine. Visitors should bring blankets or chairs.
Musicfest admission is free for military members with valid ID. Up to three military family members will be admitted half price. Adults pay $15 in advance or $25 at the event. Kids ages 6-12 pay $4 in advance and $6 at the gate. Kids 5 and under are admitted free and allowed a complimentary SkyRide trip.
