I want to talk about this terrible path our town and our state are on, which was highlighted to me by the recent Acton teachers' union contract approval.
It is no secret that the public-sector unions are supported by the Democratic party and their many elected officials and candidates. Yet ordinary citizens also vote for Democrats. This has effectively turned us into a one-party state with dire consequences for taxpayers.
In Massachusetts, unions volunteer time and contribute money to Democrats who have agreed to support a particular agenda when it comes to public-employee unions. And that agenda is, very slowly, destroying the underlying fabric of our society....
