📰 News we're reading

• Ask Isaac, the AI assistant for Town information: a review (actonexchange.org) — Acton has rolled out "Ask Isaac," an AI assistant on the town website that helps residents quickly find information like Town Hall hours, nursing services, and pavilion rentals, even in many languages. A local reviewer tested common questions, finding strong performance on service details but gaps around meeting archives and some board information, while emphasizing that the tool stays within town‑controlled data and admits its limits.

• Tea with Thom turns into a Town Hall: DPW, Fire, and Schools chart their course (actonexchange.org) — Acton's recent "Tea with Thom" session tackled big local issues, including a scaled‑back DPW facility plan, road work on Taylor and Powder Mill, and updates on Shoddy Mill Park and the dog park. Fire Chief Anita Arnum outlined staffing and storm‑readiness plans, while Superintendent Peter Light explained new state‑driven changes coming to ABRHS schedules and reflected on district reorganization and his final year.
