• Maine Man Pleads Guilty In Andover Terror Spree, Assault To Murder, Home Invasion Charges (patch.com) — Andover residents are learning details of a Maine man's guilty plea in a terrifying 2025 crime spree that targeted a local restaurant and an elderly woman in her Andover home. Prosecutors say he admitted to attempted strangulation and a brutal home invasion assault, and he has now received a lengthy state prison sentence followed by strict probation conditions to protect the victims.
• Driver Charged In Crash That Killed Andover Father, Daughter Faces Mental Health Hearing (andovermanews.com) — The driver accused in the North Reading crash that killed Andover resident Samir Naili and his 8-year-old daughter Kashmira, a South Elementary student, will return to court Oct. 2 for a mental health hearing. Prosecutors say he was driving about 100 mph and possibly impaired, while Andover schools have offered counseling support to grieving students and families.
• Giaimo Leads Andover Golf To Tri-Meet Victory (andovermanews.com) — Andover High's boys golf team topped Haverhill and Dracut in a tri-meet at Hickory Hill, led by senior captain Vincent Giaimo's match-low 36. Fellow captains and teammates turned in strong scores as Andover posted a dominant 233 team total.
