• Maine man sentenced to at least 12 years in Andover attacks (newenglandnewspress.com) — A Maine man has been sentenced to 12 to 15 years in prison, plus additional concurrent time and probation, for two violent attacks on women in Andover in July 2025. Prosecutors say he tried to strangle a 19-year-old in a restaurant restroom, then broke into a home and brutally assaulted a woman in her 70s, leaving her seriously injured.
   

• Women's Swimming & Diving (uwbadgers.com) — An Andover High School swimming standout, a two-time state champion and 200 IM state record holder, is taking her talents to the University of Wisconsin. After starring for Andover High and Crimson Aquatics in Andover and setting multiple New England records, she says Wisconsin's welcoming atmosphere and strong academics made it the right fit for her collegiate career.
