Registration for After-School Enrichment Program

             HANDS-ON FOR YOUNG SCULPTORS

Young artists will have the opportunity to explore their creativity as they interact with a variety of artistic materials. Students will be introduced to the three dim ensional language of sculpture, the scale of objects, and the basic techniques of carving and modeling. They will work with a variety of clays, wire, and recyclable materials to produce creative and unique sculptured works. Through collage construction, they will investigate elements of line, shape, and color. The works of noted artists including Marcel Duchamp and Hanoch Piven will serve as inspiration for students' original pieces. This course, directed by a professional artist, will provide opportunity for broadening children's artistic scope within a fun and successful atmosphere. Class limit is twelve students, grades 1-3.
