Northshore Magazine Announces 2016 BONS Winners
Regional lifestyle magazine announces the annual BONS issue; featuring reader and editor picks for the best places on the North Shore
If you’re in search of the best place on the North Shore of Boston for alfresco dining, where to taste the ultimate cupcake, which summer festivals and concerts are tops, or who to call for doggie daycare, the August 2016 issue of Northshore magazine delivers.
The 11th annual Best of the North Shore (BONS) Awards celebrates the magazine’s editors’ and readers’ picks for the North Shore’s best food, nightlife, entertainment venues, shopping, spas, and services. Each year, local businesses and events are nominated and voted on by the editors and readers of Northshore. Over 150,000 votes were tabulated to determine this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards and more than 250 organizations are recognized as BONS 2016 winners across 170 sub-categories. Several new subcategories were also added this year, including: bacon, pie shop, date night, and comedy spot.
“BONS is our most popular issue and one in which we take great pride in creating. Our BONS committee researches throughout the year to vet the Editors’ Choice Awards,” says Nancy E. Berry, editor of Northshore. “From fashionistas to food critics, our team tastes, sips, samples, and shops for months to compile the BONS 2016 list.”

2016 BONS Editors’ and Readers’ Choice winners will be recognized at the 3rd Annual BONS Celebration, presented by Northshore and Russo Marine, a MarineMax Company. The event takes place on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Misselwood Estate in Beverly. General admission and VIP tickets are available for purchase starting at $75 to $150.
