Officers also sorted out confusion at a River Road hotel, a mistaken Uber pickup on Bancroft Road, and a report of a child alone near Foster's Pond that turned out to be harmless.

Fewer Andover Students Opt Out Of AHS As Kindergarten Enrollment Grows (andovermanews.com) — Andover families may notice fuller kindergarten classrooms this year, with enrollment up nearly 9 percent, while far fewer eighth graders are opting out of Andover High School. Superintendent Keith Taverna told the School Committee that overall enrollment is stable and the student body is becoming more diverse, with dozens of home languages represented across APS.

Chinese National Indicted After Allegedly Impersonating Green-Card Holder to Vote in 2024 Presidential Election (newbedfordguide.com) — An Andover resident, a 33-year-old Chinese national, has been federally indicted on allegations he used another man's identity to register and vote in the 2024 presidential election. Prosecutors say he also filed fraudulent immigration paperwork affecting the victim's green-card status; Lexington and Andover police assisted, and he remains free under conditions while the case proceeds.
