• Massachusetts Town Confirms Cyberattack Behind Four-Day Outage as Critical Questions Remain Unanswered + Video (undercodenews.com) — Andover's town government recently confirmed that a four-day network outage earlier this month was actually a cyberattack that disrupted online services and delayed school teacher assignments. Most systems were restored by August 17, and officials say public safety and utilities stayed online while they followed incident-response plans and brought in outside cybersecurity experts. Investigators are still determining how attackers got in and whether any town or school data was accessed. 
• Federal Prosecutors Charge Chinese National With Voter Fraud in 2024 U.S. Election ' American Greatness (amgreatness.com) — Federal prosecutors have charged an Andover resident with allegedly submitting fraudulent voter registration and casting a ballot in the 2024 presidential election while impersonating another Massachusetts resident. Authorities say the same individual also allegedly filed false immigration paperwork that temporarily put the victim and his wife into removal proceedings. The case, driven by federal homeland security investigators, could carry prison time, fines, and deportation if there is a conviction.
